About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Operations Manager to lead and optimize our day-to-day operations in our New York office. This pivotal role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving efficiency, managing large-scale projects, and creating seamless operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution: Lead the planning and delivery of complex, high-impact events, ensuring every detail—from logistics to budgets—is meticulously managed.
HR Operations: Oversee HR-related processes including onboarding, compliance, employee experience, and coordination with external HR vendors and platforms.
Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, track spending, and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
Vendor & Contract Management: Source, negotiate, and maintain relationships with key vendors and service providers, ensuring top-quality services and value.
Office Operations: Ensure the smooth daily running of the office, including facilities, supplies, IT coordination, and administrative support.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements across operations to support company growth and scalability.
Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior operations staff and collaborate cross-functionally across departments.
Who you are :
Demonstrated success in planning and executing large-scale events
Experience with a start up environment, building out processes essential
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and vendor contracts
Working knowledge of HR processes and compliance
Proven ability to create and refine operational systems to support organizational growth
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role
Can attend the New York office a minimum of 3 days per week
