Job Description
Job Title : Engineering Intern

Requirements for this role:

Engineering specific

• Ability to use CAD software and interpret engineering drawings. • Create drawing files for laser-cutting of parts.• Parts setup, routing times setup, and bill of materials setup (multilevel).• Ability to use tools such as laser-cutting rate calculator, etc.• Work with accounting on cost rolls and pricing.

Fabrication specific

• Ability to learn about fabrication/ production processes.• Workorder processing and back flushing of parts and laser nesting.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work with multiple tasks and to perform under pressure.

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.• Previous experience in manufacturing setting is a plus.• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a process driven environment.• Excellent communication skills.• Excellent organizational skills.• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs. 

Responsibilities:

• Be an active participant in the success of FS Solutions Leeds operations by supporting Engineering and Fabrication operations.
