The BSC 787 Site Line Side Control Center (LSCC) is seeking a First Line Leader (Level K) in North Charleston, South Carolina to manage the structure to enable the pace & performance of the Line Side Control Center teams. The desired candidates will be able to lead and integrate teammates in forging cross functional partnerships across multiple manufacturing disciplines to achieve team & program goals while fostering a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. You will develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and your team.

The LSCC frontline leader will use professional business, leadership and people skills to inspire a safe work environment and exceptional performance as you work to develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures as well as organizational and technical strategies. A successful leader in this role is expected to manage, inspire and develop direct reports, remove roadblocks by working with support and manufacturing management teams, implement and improve processes for running the line side support centers, communicate and execute organizational vision, goals and strategic direction. The LSCC leader acquires resources and provides oversight for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees from multiple skill areas performing activities within the line side support centers to resolve production build issues

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures

  • Inspires and leads process improvements using the BPS problem solving tools and methods

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and teammates

  • Works with functional organizations to ensure appropriate levels of staffing required to ensure rapid response to issues

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with manufacturing leaders, functional leaders, and enterprise support leaders

  • Acquires resources and provides technical management of cross functional teams within the Line Side Support Centers

  • Inspires and leads a Commitment to 'Go for Zero' and 'Incident Injury Free' (IIF) principles

  • Possesses a mindset of safety, quality, continuous improvement & teamwork

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the North Charleston, SC site.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing

  • 1+ years of leadership experience

  • Experience managing safety, quality, delivery, cost and manufacturing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)

  • Knowledge of major milestones (sequence and requirements, specifications, Redars, IVT, SAT, etc.)

  • Understanding of various functions/roles, responsibilities, and processes to resolve airplane build constraints efficiently & effectively

  • Willingness to work any shift or possible weekend as required by business needs

Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):

  • Understanding of Boeing Production System (BPS) concepts

  • Lean understanding of standard work, sustainability, and systems integration concepts

  • Basic understanding of/experience with Shipside Action Tracker, Velocity, Cognos, and TMC (Total Manufacturing Cost)

  • 3+ years of experience interacting with business partners in resolving problems, providing a high level of customer service

  • 3+ years of experience teaching, coaching and developing others

Summary pay range: $96,900 - $131,100
