Job Description
Job Title : Aircraft A&P Mechanic - Line Maintenance

AAR is the place of choice to build an inspiring career. 

Perform aircraft maintenance, MEL, CDL, NEF deferrals and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to ensure safety and timely delivery. Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft.

Swing Shift: 3:30pm to 2:00am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
  • Perform maintenance tasks with Airline Maintenance Control supervision.
  • Use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, AMM, OHM, SRM and MEL Manual proficiently.
  • Effectively interact with customer representatives.
  • Must be comfortable exercising the full privilege of Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) certificates (A&P).
  • Inspect aircraft for defects, such as fuel/oil leaks, electrical, hydraulic, and pressurization systems malfunctions .
  • Must be able to measure accurately with ruler, dial calipers and depth micrometers. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have a minimum of two years related experience and or training.
  • Must have an airframe (A), and powerplant (P) certificates (A&P).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able pass a 10 year background check for Airport Terminal Badging.
  • Open to any shift including swings

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.  

  • Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull
